Penny Jenkins Obituary

Penny Baby Jenkins

August 6, 2008 - March 24, 2023

Penny was an Italian Miniature Greyhound born in Little Rock Arkansas. I got her Sunday, November 16, 2008, at 3:55 P.M. She was 14 weeks old. Penny had 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

She was loved from the first time I laid my eyes on her.

Penny loved laying in the sun and playing. When it was snack time, she would let you know! She loved the “chick-a-roos”, and she knew where we kept them. She would also eat fruits, vegetables, boiled chicken and even livers and chicken gizzards from her friend, Timothy Huggins. They would eat them together and she would always eat them faster. She also loved her furry friend, Speckles. Speckles was a cat but when she passed Penny really missed her. Penny had a John Deere blanket that she loved napping on. I would buy her clothes, but she didn’t like them and would chew them off in no time!

Penny leaves behind her human parents, Ann & Ray Jenkins; and two human sisters, Laura L Wilson of Woodstock, Ga. and Bobbie L Jenkins of Waynesboro, Va. Penny loved everybody and got along with all other dogs and cats.

She got her middle name from Ray, that's what he called her all the time. Penny was a ray of sunshine to everyone that knew her, and she was so loved.

When she took her last breath, I was sitting and gently petting her. It broke my heart and a piece of mine went with her. I miss her so much. Penny wasn’t just a dog; she was our family member for 14 years and 7 months. She always brought so much joy to whoever she met, and she may no longer be here, but she will never be forgotten, and her memories will live on through me.

I miss her meeting me when I come in the door. She would  jump up to see what I had. She would follow me around, jumping and running as I called her “my Little Chicadee Penny Loo”.

Penny Baby Jenkins, I love you and miss you very much and know that I think about you every second of the day. You were my heart and soul, my best of all friends, and loyal partner that was always there to talk to. God saw you getting tired, so he put his hand out and you laid your paw in his hand so he could take you home. Now you can rest and be forever young. You did your job on this earth and that was to keep me and anybody that knew you happy.

Love you and miss you my Lil Chicadee Penny Loo.

A Poem

Pawprints left on my heart by you!

You no longer greet me as I walk through the door

You're not here to make me smile anymore

Life seems quiet without you here

You were more than a pet you were a family

member, my best friend, my shadow

 I miss you every second

A loving soul I will never forget!

It will take time to heal and for the silence.

to go away!

I still listen for and look for you every day!

You were such a blessing from God and I’m

so glad he let me be with you so we could.

love each other.

This is only temporarily we will be together.

again!

Till we meet again soon!

See you at The Rainbow Bridge Penny Love!

Oh, what a happy day that will be for both!

I want to thank Paws N Reflect for all their wonderful service, understanding,

comforting words, and service for my Penny Love. They are
